About

The chocolate pedaller was born as a defence against the need for small gifts at Xmas for teachers, coaches, mail delivery people etc. etc.  I started 20 years ago producing truffles and used to have a yearly get together where everyone brought a different flavoured centre and we dipped and decorated as a group.  Recipients came to expect their yearly dose, and the one year I missed I sure heard about!

About five years ago I decided to move into different chocolate realms, and become a real chocolatier.  I started with a course from “Ecole Chocolat” (Vancouver) and then went to Callebaut Academy in Belgium. Recently I attended a colour workshop on Bowen Island, B.C. which was fabulous.

My only regret is my day job and garden keep me from doing more!  I am a physician and my work in addictions and love of cycling birthed the name “Chocolate pedaller” (Thanks, Suzanne!).  Thanks to Debbie Kisiel for the logo design!

Send orders through the email section – I do customized orders and events as well as seasonal chocolates, and lots of truffles!  I also make macarons (because, of course, they have a chocolate based centre!).
